Our welcome showcase: no auditions required!
Every child who joins Rhythm and Roots Performing Arts automatically secures a place in our group and a central role in our annual show! Before we start rehearsals, we host a casual Welcome Showcase. This isn't a scary audition; it's simply a fun, supportive session where we get to see your child's unique talents and interests. This helps us structure the script and performance around what they love to do most, ensuring every child has their time in the spotlight.
Weekly rehearsals: bringing the show to life
This is where we put the show together, transforming ideas into a captivating performance! Our weekly rehearsals take place on Sunday afternoons, running from May right up until the show in October. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their skills, build friendships, and experience the joy of collaborative creation. We focus on fun, learning, and making sure everyone feels confident and prepared.
The grand finale: our annual show
The culmination of all our hard work is our annual show! We then move to a professional theatre where we deliver the performance, showcasing the amazing talents and dedication of all our participants. We operate from May to October, with one grand final show. The final rehearsals leading up to the performance are mandatory to ensure all cast members can be together, allowing us to put the finishing touches on a truly memorable experience for everyone.
