Our charitable mission
Discover the heart behind Rhythm and Roots Performing Arts. We believe every child deserves a moment in the spotlight, and as a charity, we make that a reality. Learn about our commitment to inclusive performing arts.

Why we are a charity
Lauren and Joanna founded Rhythm and Roots as a charity to create a nurturing space where every child can shine, regardless of their prior experience or ability. We envisioned a place where children feel they belong, thrive, and forge lasting friendships, just as we did through performing together. Being a charity allows us to keep our opportunities affordable, ensuring that financial barriers don't prevent a child from experiencing the joy of performance and developing vital life skills.

Making an impact
While we are a new group, this marks a fantastic opportunity to be involved in our very first show! Our team, Joanna, Lauren, Chloe, and Sophie, bring a wealth of experience as dedicated teachers, safeguarding specialists, and accomplished performers. Each has been deeply involved in the production and creation of countless performances, and they are excited to share their expertise with every child who joins us. We are eager to see the positive impact our first show will have on the children.

Support our mission
As a charity, we rely on the goodwill of our community. We have meticulously worked to keep our costs as low as possible, covering essential expenses such as hall hire, theatre fees, and the cost of costumes and props. Any donation, big or small, to our charity is incredibly welcome and directly supports our mission. We are also actively seeking individuals who can support us in other ways, such as volunteering backstage or offering their skills to help our productions flourish. Your support makes a tangible difference.
